I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
